Discipline at SPS
With the blessings of Almighty Allah, SPS has thrived upon its solid firmament of discipline, rules and regulations. The following constitute the main features of its system of discipline:

All the students shall be under strict disciplinary control. A student is expected to display, both in and outside the premises, respect for others, morality, personal honour, care for the right of fellow beings and all good values which can be a hallmark of any true educated man.

Punctuality and regularity in attendance is compulsory for all the students. Attendance will be counted from the date a student joins the institution till last working day of the session. No student, whose attendance falls below 75% shall be allowed to appear in the final examination.

Students must come to the institution neat and tidy, with hair cut (female exempted), nails cut and attired in proper uniforms. Pupils with improper dress and personality are not allowed to attend the classes.

Between the first morning bell, heralding the institution's opening, and the last bell, for closing, students are not supposed to leave the premises except with the Section Head's permission.

Only authorized visitors are allowed to meet the students during the working hours, after the Section Head's prior satisfaction and permission.

Prior leave will not be granted except in very extraordinary circumstances. If a student can not attend the institution during academic session due to illness or any other genuine reason, the Section Head should be informed in writing before the commencement of classes. A fine of Rs. 5/- will be imposed per day for absence without leave. Students found guilty of absenting from the institution without leave for six consecutive days, or from tests and examination, without the permission of the Section Head, are liable to expulsion or rustication, as the case may be, from the
Institution.

Discipline committee is responsible for dealing judiciously with any untoward incident leading to the breach of rules/regulations/bylaws or any matter becoming a reason for tarnishing the curricular and co-curricular environment of the institution.

The following cases of indiscipline, committed by any student of SPS will also be submitted to the committee for conducting inquiries and onward submitting the report to the Principal for necessary action.
Stealing, wilful and deliberate damage to the institution/hostel property

Abominable behavior such as shouting, abusing, quarrelling, fighting, insolence, misconduct (with each other, management, teachers or other staff), use of indecent language and immorality.

Being found guilty of smoking and under the effect of intoxicant.

Grave misconduct outside the campus/during external sports/hike or other activities undertaken out of the Campus.

Any other case pertaining to any person/matter which the Section Head or Principal deems necessary to evaluate for fact finding.

IN ALL SUCH CASES, THE DECISION OF THE DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE OF THE INSTITUTION IS FINAL AND WILL NOT BE CHALLENGED IN ANY COURT OF LAW.

SPS Identity Card

From 1998 onwards, the system of SPS Identity Cards has been initiated with a view to ensure the recognition and personal security of an SPSian. It is mandatory for every SPSian studying in 7th Class and above to be in possession of his / her SPS Identity Card.

Leave

Leave should be applied for only when it is very necessary. A student who remains absent from classes for more than four days because of sickness, has to produce a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner justifying his absence from studies. The same certificate will have to be produced, when a student falls sick during tests or examinations.
